Donate to BEC's Drought Waterbank Lawsuit

Please consider making a tax deductable donation in support of the Drought Water Bank lawsuit that was filed in Calif. Superior Court in April 2009 to require an EIR prior to groundwater pumping for water transfers. North of the Sutter Buttes in the Sacramento Hydrologic Region, there is 80-90% of the State's water and 2/10ths of 1% of the State's population. The courts are our only opportunity to protect our environment and our economy and to have any chance to avoid becoming the next Owens Valley. We cannot let this lawsuit fail for lack of support! Every donation counts -- even at $1 per person and $1 per irrigated acre. If everyone who drinks water or irrigates a plant contributes, we can fight this takeover of our water!
